Stage setup

Placement

In the stage-plot view, the bass amp is at rear left, drums are centered at the rear, the keys amp is at rear right, and the guitar amp is left of center. Thomas’s vocal/trumpet mic is at front left; the backing vocal/sax mic is at front right.

Monitors

Four monitors are preferred, though three can work. If only three are available, give priority to keys; bass and drums can share. Most of the time, only vocals need to run through the monitors.

Advance notes

All amps have XLR outputs on the back. The wireless rack can sit on top of the keys amp or at the front of the stage. Drum microphones are available by request with advance notice.

Soundcheck priority

Thomas uses the same microphone for trumpet and lead vocal, so their balance is the highest soundcheck priority. The band prefers its wireless microphones but can use house microphones. Please say if the stage volume is too loud for the best mix.
